Here are a few events happening around Austin from September 7-13.

Monday, September 7

Start the week with Dolly-inspired drag and line-dance lessons at Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5: Labor Gay Monday at Sagebrush. The 21+ event runs from 7-11 p.m.

For live local music, Hole in the Wall hosts Longriver’s Monday Residency with Midnight Rubies and Lonesome Heroes. Doors open at 8 p.m., and admission is free for guests 21 and up.

Soul singer-songwriter Aaron Stephens also takes the stage at The Saxon Pub for an intimate evening set.

Tuesday, September 8

Tuesday offers a mix of music and spooky cinema. JUTES: Smile You’re On Tour comes to Emo’s with mothica and Wilt, while Chess Club hosts Sooflay, Commercial Breaks, and Late Wife.

For a horror-filled night out, catch JU-ON: The Curse during Terror Tuesday at Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar.

Wednesday, September 9

Celebrate new music at Jenny Reynolds’ album release show at The 04 Center, featuring special guest Holly Frost. The all-ages show begins at 7 p.m.

Later in the evening, Volstead hosts Girly Pop Karaoke, a free 21+ night of pop favorites from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

If you enjoy cult-classic cinema, Weird Wednesday at Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar features X: The Man with X-Ray Eyes at 9:30 p.m.

Thursday, September 10

Thursday night brings major shows across the city. Country star Tim McGraw brings his Pawn Shop Guitar Tour to Moody Center with 49 Winchester and Timothy Wayne.

LEVITATION 2026 kicks off with Mietze Conte and Acopia at 29th Street Ballroom, beginning a four-day celebration of independent music and art across Austin venues.

Indie-pop fans can also catch Arlo Parks live at Mohawk Austin.

Friday, September 11

Kick off the weekend with laughs at Comedy Bang! Bang! Ground Beefing Tour 2026 at Riverbend Centre, where Scott Aukerman, Paul F. Tompkins, and the Comedy Bang! Bang! All-Stars will perform a fully improvised live podcast show.

Austin favorite Bob Schneider performs at Antone’s with FOXI MOXI, while LEVITATION continues at Stubb’s with The Garden and Her New Knife.

Saturday, September 12

Spend Saturday night under the stars with NEEDTOBREATHE at Moody Amphitheater at Waterloo Park.

After the Longhorn game, keep the celebration going with the Longhorn Afterparty at Hole in the Wall, featuring JD Clark and Uncle Punt.

Sunday, September 13

Close out the LEVITATION weekend with a stacked lineup at The Far Out Lounge & Stage. Sleep, Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, and more take the stage beginning at 3 p.m.

Later that evening, catch Toni Romiti on her T0N16 Again Tour at Come and Take It Live, or head to Antone’s for a Sunday-night performance by RaiNao.
